Patient Overview

Patient Name: Nizam Uddin
Age: 58
Problem: Throat cancer and difficulty swallowing

Background:
Nizam Uddin, a 58-year-old man, presented with a persistent sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and unexplained weight loss. After a biopsy, he was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer.

Challenges:
The tumor was located near critical structures, including the vocal cords, making surgery complex. There was also a risk of the cancer spreading to other areas.

Treatment Plan:
Dr. Mohammad Hanif performed a partial laryngectomy, removing the tumor while preserving the patient’s vocal cords. The surgery was complex but aimed at maintaining the patient’s speech and swallowing abilities.

Outcome:
The surgery was successful, and Nizam’s cancer was completely removed. Post-surgery, he underwent rehabilitation to regain his speech and swallowing abilities. Within a few months, he was able to resume a normal lifestyle. Regular follow-up visits confirmed no recurrence of cancer. Nizam expressed his gratitude for the excellent care and recovery.
